Hmmmm
Seems like this has become a bit of a wasteland.... Wait for a decision in the near future about where I plan to take this ol' blog.

Exams!!!!
Exam time is just around the corner! Granted, my classes do not have exams, but they do have final projects that cover the whole semester and are a great deal of work. They have now been assigned, so if your course is ending this month, please check your current assignments page for more details.
cheers,
Mr. Rempel

Report Card Time is Coming
Report Cards are just around the corner! Stayed tuned for an email if your son or daughter is missing an assignment that will affect their grade. I hope to do this on the weekend, so if Monday comes with no email, your student is in the clear!
Thanks, Mr. R.

Updated
Well, I finally updated the assignment pages, sorry to those of you who had nearly given up on this blog being a relevant use of technology.
Thus far: Grade 11 - we have been listening to each others immigration stories, and working on getting to the gist of what it means to think historically. From here we are going to be moving on to some of the historical turning points and meetings between cultures in Canadian history.
Grade 10 - we have been learning about the physical geography of Canada and also how to read maps and get around in the RM of Rhineland. We are just starting on a major mapping assignment, check the assignment page for more details.
Grade 9 - we just finished a geography based assignment, and are moving into the nuts and bolts of Social Studies. We are learning about diverse things like consumerism, responsibility, media, and democracy and what we think about these things.
